Israel and Palestine agree to combat violence and terrorism at Egypt summit.

Israeli and Palestinian Authority delegations, along with representatives from the United States, Jordan, and Egypt, met in Sharm el-Sheikh, Egypt, to de-escalate tensions before the start of Ramadan. The sides recommitted to preventing further violence and agreed to establish mechanisms to curb violence, incitement, and improve the economic conditions of the Palestinian people. The communiqué also highlighted the legal right of the PA to exercise its security responsibility over Area A of the West Bank. The parties agreed to meet for a third time next month.
