Luxembourg's PM denounces Hungary's anti-LGBT law

Luxembourg's Prime Minister Xavier Bettel criticized Hungary's anti-LGBT law and its leader Viktor Orbán in a speech before the European Parliament. The law prohibits or heavily restricts depictions of homosexuality and gender reassignment in media content and educational material addressed to audiences under 18 years of age. Bettel, who is openly gay, spoke about the challenges that LGBT people face and demanded respect. Despite mounting criticism and a pending lawsuit before the European Court of Justice, Hungary intends to keep the controversial legislation in place.
