Massive Protests in Serbia Demand End to Gun Violence

Tens of thousands of protesters marched in Belgrade against violence in the country, following two mass shootings that killed 18 people this month. Opposition parties accuse the government of failing to take action against television channels broadcasting violent content and criminal elements in Serbian society. The government has dismissed the protests as a "political" stunt and has planned a demonstration for next week which it has called "the biggest gathering in Serbian history."
