NATO aims for Sweden's membership by July.

NATO Secretary-General Jens Stoltenberg has said that Sweden could still become a member of the alliance by summer, despite Turkey ratifying Finland's bid to join while leaving Sweden behind. Stoltenberg said that Sweden could get its own green light after Turkey's May elections, but did not say if that would require a change in governments. If both Finland and Sweden join the alliance, 96% of the European Union's population will soon live in a NATO country.
