Russia seeks compensation for Nord Stream explosions.

Russia may demand compensation for damage caused by last year's explosions on the Nord Stream gas pipelines, which connect Russia and Germany under the Baltic Sea. Moscow called the blasts an act of "international terrorism" and is urging an independent international investigation with the mandatory participation of Russian representatives. Western countries are opposing a Russia-prepared draft UN Security Council resolution on the issue.
