"Thai Protesters Demand Senators Approve Vote Winners' Choice for Prime Minister"

Hundreds of protesters gathered in Bangkok to demand that conservative senators stop blocking the appointment of a prime minister from the winning coalition formed after May's general election. The Move Forward Party, the surprise election winner, failed to have its leader confirmed as prime minister due to lack of support from senators. The protesters also called on political parties in the coalition not to join hands with parties that supported the outgoing government. The coalition is currently considering excluding Move Forward from the coalition in order to form a government.
