The Complexities of Kashmir: Truth, Reconciliation, and Article 370

The Supreme Court of India has suggested the establishment of a Truth and Reconciliation Commission in Kashmir to investigate human rights violations by both state and non-state actors since the 1980s. However, there are concerns that the truth may be unpalatable, and the commission should not become a criminal court. Justice Sanjay Kishan Kaul hopes that Kashmiris will open their hearts and facilitate the return of minority Hindus who were forced to migrate with dignity.
