The Hunt for Fugitive Amritpal Singh and His Impact on Punjab
TL;DR
Voices from the Sikh clergy and intelligentsia are calling for Pro-Khalistan preacher Amritpal Singh to surrender to the police. They argue that his supporters have been arrested only because they follow him, and he should stand by his own words. Amritpal Singh has been on the run since a police crackdown on his outfit, Waris Punjab De, on March 18. The Punjab Police have expanded their search for him to deras and seminaries.
