UK Republicans Call for End to Coronation Tradition.

Republican activists in the UK are using King Charles III's coronation as an opportunity to build momentum to dislodge the monarchy. Opposition and apathy to the monarchy are growing, with just 29% of respondents in a recent study by the National Center for Social Research thinking the monarchy was “very important”. Millions in Britain will watch broadcasts when Charles is crowned in Westminster Abbey, but millions more will ignore the ceremonies. Some will attend alternative events, including a gig in Glasgow by tribute band the Scottish Sex Pistols.
