US pushes Turkey to support Sweden's NATO membership.

US Secretary of State Antony Blinken has urged Turkey to drop its objections to Sweden joining NATO, saying "the time is now" for Sweden's accession. The Biden administration has also called for Ankara to be provided with upgraded F-16 fighters, but Blinken insisted the two issues were distinct. Turkey has accused Sweden of being too soft on groups it considers to be terrorists, and a series of Quran-burning protests in Stockholm angered its religious support base.
