U.S. Senator Blocks Arms Sales to Hungary over NATO Bid Blockade.

US Senator Jim Risch has blocked a $735m arms sale to Hungary due to its government's refusal to approve Sweden's bid to join NATO. Risch said that Hungary should take necessary actions to allow Sweden into the alliance. The sale included 24 HIMARS rocket launcher batteries and more than 100 rockets and pods along with associated parts and support. Sweden applied last year to join NATO as a result of Russia's invasion of Ukraine.
