Vietnam jails noodle vendor for parodying Salt Bae and mocking minister's lavish dining.

A noodle vendor in Vietnam, Bui Tuan Lam, was sentenced to five and a half years in prison for anti-state propaganda after he imitated celebrity chef "Salt Bae" to allegedly mock a top government official. Lam had also advocated for democracy in Vietnam and participated in anti-China and pro-environment protests. Human rights groups have criticized the Vietnamese government's attempt to silence voices critical of the ruling Vietnamese Communist Party.
