Zelensky seeks Pope's support for peace in Ukraine

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky met with Pope Francis at the Vatican to discuss plans to end the war with Russia and seek support for his 10-point peace plan. The plan includes establishing a special tribunal to prosecute Russian war crimes, creating a European-Atlantic security structure, and restoring Ukraine's damaged power infrastructure. Zelensky also met with Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni and Italian President Sergio Mattarella, who both pledged support for Ukraine. Italy has already contributed about $1.1 billion in military aid to Ukraine since the war began last February.
