"French Farmers' Protests Escalate: From Tractor Blockades to Soup Hurling"
TL;DR
French farmers are pressuring the government for better remuneration, less red tape, and protection against cheap imports, with plans to use tractors to head towards Paris, prompting a large deployment of security forces. Climate activists also hurled soup at the glass protecting the “Mona Lisa” at the Louvre Museum, advocating for a sustainable food system. The government announced measures that farmers say don't fully address their demands, leading to ongoing protests and road blockades across France.
