Global Solidarity Strikes: Businesses Worldwide Close in Support of Palestine

Palestinian Americans in Bridgeview, also known as "Little Palestine," closed their businesses and gathered to protest the ongoing conflict between Israel and Hamas in Gaza. They joined a worldwide strike to call for a cease-fire and draw attention to the escalating humanitarian crisis. Over 200 businesses in the Chicago area participated in the strike. The war, now in its third month, has resulted in the deaths of thousands of Palestinians and displaced a majority of the population. Protesters aimed to empower students and raise awareness about civic participation in the face of the crisis.
