Belgium detains 7 over suspected terrorist plot involvement.

Belgian police have arrested seven people, mostly ethnic Chechens, suspected of supporting Islamic State and plotting a terrorist attack. The suspects, three of whom possess Belgian nationality, were allegedly searching for weapons and targeting an institution in Belgium. The police raids took place in several towns in western Belgium, and the investigating judge will decide if there is sufficient evidence to charge the suspects with attempted terrorist assassination, participation in the activities of a terrorist group, and the preparation of a terrorist attack.
