AI Revolutionizing Weather Forecasting and Climate Prediction

Two teams of AI engineers have developed new AI-based weather-forecasting systems, Pangu-Weather and NowcastNet, which have been found to be as accurate as existing systems. Pangu-Weather predicts weather a week in advance, while NowcastNet predicts precipitation levels for the upcoming six hours.
