Japan's Self-Defense Forces mull over Starlink services.

Japan's Self-Defense Forces is considering adopting SpaceX's Starlink internet service for their land, sea, and air forces by the fiscal year starting April 2024. The SDF has been testing Starlink since March and plans to test other service providers this fiscal year. Starlink's role in the Ukraine-Russian War might have inspired the creation of Starshield services, designed to support national security efforts.
