Kuwait News has introduced a virtual news presenter named Fedha, generated using artificial intelligence, with plans to read online bulletins. The presenter's appearance reflects the diverse population of Kuwaitis and expatriates. The site's deputy editor in chief said it was a test of AI's potential to offer "new and innovative content". The initial 13-second video generated a flood of reactions on social media, including from journalists.
