Greek Coastguard's Account of Deadly Shipwreck Questioned Amid Survivors' Testimonies.

Two survivors of the shipwreck off southwestern Greece, in which more than 500 people are feared drowned, have testified that they were given minimal food and dirty water during the four-day voyage from Libya. The captain was believed to have lost his way and could not get to Italy, and it was only after their complaints that the captain called for help on his satellite phone, late on Tuesday night. The Greek coast guard rescued 104 survivors and retrieved 78 bodies. Greek authorities have so far arrested nine individuals suspected of taking part in trafficking.
