Two U.S. Soldiers Vanish After Belt-Linked Rescue Attempt Off Moroccan Coast
TL;DR
Defense officials say two American soldiers disappeared near Cap Draa, Morocco, during the African Lion exercises after a sunset hike; a belts-linked rescue chain failed as a second man jumped in and was swept away, a third followed but could not save either, while one made it back to shore. Aircraft and dive teams have searched the coast for three days, with drones now aiding the hunt.
