Ukraine’s Drones Lock Down Russia’s Supply Chains Behind the Front

Ukraine’s mid-range strike drones are increasingly targeting Russian supply lines behind the front as part of the “Logistic Lockdown” effort, shifting from air-defense disruption to crippling roads, rail, bridges, and fuel depots across occupied Crimea and southern Ukraine. With drones such as RAM-2X, Bulava, FP-2, and Starlink-enabled platforms, Ukraine has conducted hundreds of strikes across 27 formations, forcing Moscow to disperse air defenses and complicate logistics. While most effects are seen in rear areas — including fuel shortages and longer transport routes — analysts warn sustained pressure could gradually erode Russia’s ability to move supplies to the front.
