Four people were wounded in a series of rare dolphin attacks off Suishohama beach in Mihama, Fukui prefecture, Japan. The incidents involved a dolphin ramming into a man in his 60s, causing broken ribs and bites to the hand, and another dolphin biting a man in his 40s on his arm. Local authorities have recorded six dolphin attacks on humans this year, and last year ultrasonic transmitters were installed in Koshino Beach after a series of dolphin attacks.
