Global Press Freedom Index Shows Alarming Decline in Media Freedom.

Reporters Without Borders (RSF) has released its Press Freedom Index 2023 annual report, which warns that disinformation poses a major threat to press freedom. The report highlights the development of advanced technologies that blur the lines between true and false information, jeopardizing the right to information. The RSF report also warns against the entire disinformation industry that intentionally seeks to undermine factual reporting. Germany fell five spots in the ranking due to an increase in attacks on journalists, while Norway took the top spot for the seventh year in a row.
