Mass Evacuation in Polish Town as WWII Bomb Unearthed by Construction Worker

Around 14,000 people were evacuated from the town of Lublin, Poland, after a construction worker uncovered a 550-pound WWII-era bomb. The bomb was discovered during construction work in a residential area that was previously a Polish airplane factory and an airport. Military experts believe it is a World War II aerial bomb, and engineers are working to safely neutralize it. Residents have been instructed to turn off utilities and take necessary belongings with them. Evacuees are being taken to designated safe locations and are expected to return home in the early afternoon.
