Russian siblings killed in Pattaya over motorbike theft, police say

Two Russian siblings, Diana Nazimova (22) and Roman Nazimov (17), who had been living with their mother in Pattaya, disappeared after heading out on a motorbike to a 24-hour store. Their disassembled motorbike was later found buried in an old cemetery, and two men allegedly confessed to killing the siblings to steal the bike, after posing as police officers during a roadside stop. Diana suffered assault and gunshot wounds; Roman was shot in the abdomen and head. The suspects were arrested after a multi‑province manhunt, and authorities say they also confessed to killing a Thai family found nearby. The mother publicly thanked supporters and said harsher sentences would be a greater punishment than the death penalty. }
