McKinney edges Thanedar to clinch Dem nomination in Michigan's 13th
Michigan state Rep. Donavan McKinney defeated incumbent Rep. Shri Thanedar in the Democratic primary for Michigan's 13th Congressional District, taking about 51.47% of Wayne County votes (57,714) to Thanedar's 47.7% (53,494) with all precincts reporting. The district centers on Detroit and nearby communities; McKinney, 34, has served in the Michigan House since 2023.
