Breakthrough DNA Evidence Solves Decades-Old Cold Case Murder of South Lyon Teen
Michigan State Police have identified a suspect in the 1982 death of 16-year-old Kimberly Louiselle, thanks to the discovery of DNA evidence. The case was reopened in 2022, and through updated forensic technology, Louiselle's death was linked to Charles David Shaw, who died in 1983. Shaw's DNA had never been submitted to the national Combined DNA Index System. Detectives are now investigating Shaw's possible connection to additional crimes prior to his death.
