Summer McIntosh Skips 200 Fly at Pan Pacs to Focus on 200 Free
Canadian swimming star Summer McIntosh, the world-record holder in the 200m butterfly, will not swim that event at the 2026 Pan Pacific Championships to avoid a clash with the 200m freestyle. She has entered the 200m freestyle, 200m individual medley, 400m freestyle, and 400m IM, and she did not enter the 800m freestyle to prevent a final-day conflict with the 200m IM. The four-day meet features a condensed schedule, and this marks her Pan Pacs lineup debut since the event last took place in 2018.
