Wisconsin activist convicted of election fraud for ballot requests aimed at exposing system flaws
A Wisconsin man, Harry Wait, was convicted of two misdemeanor election-fraud counts and one felony identity-theft count for requesting the ballots of Assembly Speaker Robin Vos and Racine Mayor Cory Mason without their consent, as part of his push to expose vulnerabilities in the state's voting system; Wait leads a group that promotes false election claims and has said he would do it again, with sentencing not yet scheduled and potential prison time (up to six years for the felony and up to a year for each misdemeanor).
