
Decker retains Cambridge seat as 25th Middlesex primary wraps up
Incumbent Marjorie Decker won the 25th Middlesex District state House primary in Cambridge (4,104 votes to Evan MacKay’s 3,599) as results with 99% reporting rolled in. The night also saw multiple local winners: Erika Uyterhoeven took the 2nd Middlesex Senate nomination; David Rogers and Mike Connolly won their House races; Somerville’s Paul Mbah and Ben Ewen-Campen secured Beacon Hill seats; Marian T. Ryan defeated David Solet for Middlesex DA. In statewide races, Ed Markey claimed the Democratic US Senate nomination, and Michael Minogue led the Republican governor primary. The Brownsberger-Lander state Senate race remained too close to call pending overseas ballots.
