Gears of War: E-Day Unveils a Battle Royale–Inspired 4v4 PvP With a Charging Power Core
Gears of War: E-Day adds Crucible, a 4v4 PvP mode that blends battle royale pacing with classic Gearsmaps: teams grab a Power Core, carry it to a scoring zone, and defend as the zone shrinks, creating tense close-quarters clashes. The Power Core enables a short-range charged attack but restricts mobility, encouraging strategic play and backstabbing defenses. Crucible is one of four PvP modes at launch (alongside Team Deathmatch, Conquest, and Demolition), and Gears of War: E-Day arrives Oct 6 on Xbox Series X|S and PC, with day-one Game Pass support.
