"Angels place Mike Trout on 60-day injured list, ending his season"
The Los Angeles Angels have moved their star centerfielder, Mike Trout, to the 60-day injured list, officially ending his season. Trout has been dealing with a broken hamate bone in his wrist since July and despite a brief return, he experienced pain and was placed back on the injured list. This season, Trout played in just 82 games, hitting .263/.367/.490. Although his power stroke was affected by the injury, his ability to get on base remained strong. Trout's move to the 60-day injured list was primarily due to a roster spot needed for pitcher Carson Fulmer, and he is expected to be healthy for spring training in 2024.
