Court Appearance Looms for Owners of Colorado Funeral Home with Decaying Bodies
The owners of Return to Nature Funeral Home in Colorado, Jon and Carie Hallford, are set to appear in court facing allegations of abusing corpses, stealing, money laundering, and forging documents. The funeral home was found to have 190 decomposing bodies, some dating back to 2019. Family members were falsely told their loved ones were cremated, and the FBI confirmed privately to some families that their loved ones were among the decaying bodies. The Hallfords were arrested in Oklahoma and have been charged with multiple counts related to the abuse of corpses, theft, money laundering, and forgery.
