Two Active-Duty Marines Plead Guilty to Capitol Riot Charges
Two active-duty Marines, Joshua Abate and Dodge Dale Hellonen, pleaded guilty to riot-related criminal charges for their participation in the Jan. 6 insurrection at the US Capitol. They were identified by fellow Marines and are set to be sentenced in September. The charge carries a sentence of up to six months in prison, one year of supervised release, and a fine of up to $5,000. A third Marine, Micah Coomer, was also identified and charged.
