AirPods 5 Debuts with 50% Better Noise Cancellation at $129
Apple tops its earbud lineup with AirPods 5, delivering 50% stronger noise cancellation thanks to a new acoustic design and “best-in-class open-ear” ANC. The two models start at $129 with ANC and improved Adaptive EQ for an immersive Personalized Spatial Audio experience, while the $149 version adds a wireless charging case, up to five hours of ANC (22 hours with the case), and on-stem volume control. Both support Adaptive Audio, Conversation Awareness, and Live Translation on compatible iPhones. Preorders are live now, with a Sept. 18 store release. No camera-equipped AirPods were announced today, though Bloomberg notes a possible launch next year.
