I-95 Collapse Sparks Concerns Over Road Infrastructure Vulnerability
Aero Aggregates in Eddystone, Delaware County is providing foam glass aggregate to build up the ground to the surface level of I-95, which collapsed recently. The material is lightweight and durable, made from glass diverted from local landfills. The fill is being transported to the site with the help of Pennsylvania State Police escort, and construction is set to begin on Friday morning. The goal is to reopen three northbound and three southbound lanes on I-95 to traffic as soon as possible.
