"Resurgence of Mpox in Congo: What's Changed?"

A deadlier version of mpox is spreading in the Democratic Republic of Congo, testing Africa's public health efforts. The continent's limited vaccine manufacturing capability and reliance on foreign aid have hindered its response to both the mpox outbreak and previous health emergencies like Covid-19. This initiative aims to create a self-sufficient public health infrastructure in Africa to address current and future health challenges.
