Exor's $2.8 Billion Investment: Agnelli Family Buys Stake in Philips
Italian investment firm Exor, controlled by the Agnelli family, has acquired a 15% stake in healthcare technology group Philips for approximately $2.84 billion. This makes Exor the largest shareholder in Philips and provides a vote of confidence for the company, which has been dealing with a significant product recall. As part of the agreement, Exor will have a seat on Philips' supervisory board and has the option to increase its stake to a maximum of 20%.
