
End of an Era: Local LGBTQ and AIDS Advocate's Legacy Lives On
Sue Cowell, a dedicated advocate for the LGBTQ and AIDS community in Rochester, passed away after more than four decades of activism. She co-founded AIDS Rochester, served as the President of the Gay Alliance, and helped establish The MOCHA Center. Her efforts contributed to advancements in gay and lesbian civil rights, AIDS education, and support services. Her legacy lives on through Trillium Health, a full-service health clinic serving the community.
