Highlights from the 2023 Battle of Flowers Festival and Parade.
More than 4,000 marching band students, twirlers and performers from 37 area high school bands participated in the 85th annual Battle of Flowers Band Festival at Alamo Stadium in San Antonio. The theme was “Where Fiesta Reigns.” Robert G. Cole High School, John F. Kennedy High School, Pieper High School, Claudia Taylor “Lady Bird” Johnson High School, and Alamo Heights High School were among the winners of the Parade of Bands. The Chairman’s award went to Alamo Heights High School for executing the most crowd-pleasing performance during the parade of bands.
