Memorial Day Ceremonies Across the US Honor Fallen Veterans and Their Companions.
Rich Margittay and his 12-year-old Alaskan Malamute dog, Cheyenne, participated in Dearborn's annual Memorial Day parade for the last time. Margittay, who has been a part of the parade since 2004, said it's getting harder for him and Cheyenne to participate. The parade, Michigan's oldest, took place in West Dearborn this year and honored Arab Americans who serve. Margittay and his friend Garret Wasko led the parade in a restored jeep with a 30 caliber Browning machine gun.
