Bills DT Phidarian Mathis hit with three-game ban over substances policy breach
NFL suspended Buffalo Bills defensive tackle Phidarian Mathis for three games for violating the league’s substances of abuse policy. The ban begins Aug. 30, with reinstatement eligible Sept. 28; Mathis can practice and play in the preseason. The punishment stems from an alcohol-related incident in spring 2025 when he was with the Jets, and Mathis had 13 tackles in six games for Buffalo last season.
