Arrests Made in Fentanyl-Laced Gummy Bear Incident at Virginia Elementary School
Two individuals, Clifford Dugan, Jr. and Nicole Sanders, have been arrested in connection with fentanyl ingestion by at least seven students at Central Elementary School in Amherst County. Dugan, Jr. faces additional charges of possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, while Sanders faces a separate charge of possession of a controlled substance. The gummies the children consumed did not test positive for fentanyl, but traces of the drug were found in the bag they came in. All five students taken to the hospital have been released and are recovering.
