Live Nation antitrust settlement opens its ticketing to rivals
Live Nation has reached a settlement with the DOJ in its high-stakes antitrust case, paying about $200 million to participating states. The deal includes structural changes to Ticketmaster’s platform that will allow rival ticketing services to list tickets, shortens exclusivity contracts to four years, requires divesting more than 10 amphitheaters, and caps service fees at 15% of ticket prices, effectively ending the trial before a verdict.
