Anchorage Library Deputy Director Resigns Amid Controversy.
Judy Eledge, the deputy director of the Anchorage Public Library, has resigned following the publication of her history of inflammatory comments and social media posts. Eledge was accused of making racist and inappropriate comments and fostering a hostile work environment. Her resignation comes amid ongoing lawsuits in state and federal court over the firing of the city’s former director of the Office of Equal Opportunity. The Bronson administration is requesting city funds to settle with the ex-director. Eledge's resignation was welcomed by the Anchorage Assembly, which had called for her to resign.
