Indie game dev accused of stealing Elden Ring animations responds and removes them.
Indie game Bleak Faith: Forsaken has been accused of using stolen animations from FromSoft's Elden Ring and Dark Souls. The game's developers, Archangel, have responded to the allegations, stating that they purchased the animation packages from the Epic Marketplace with the understanding that Epic had gone through the proper vetting and review process. Epic Games, the publisher of Fortnite and the owner of the Epic Marketplace, does not verify the copyright for marketplace items. Archangel has already replaced many of the purchased animations out of respect for the original artists and players.
