
UK Charges Radical Preacher Anjem Choudary with Terror Offences
British Muslim preacher Anjem Choudary has been charged with three offenses, including membership of a proscribed organization and directing an organization, after being arrested in London. Choudary, who was previously imprisoned for encouraging support for ISIS, will appear in court on Monday. A Canadian man, Khaled Hussein, has also been charged with membership of a proscribed organization. Choudary, known for his extremist views, has drawn attention for praising the 9/11 attacks and organizing protests attended by individuals involved in acts of terrorism.
