Anonymous Threatens to Finish Off Tupac's Murderer, Claims Business Partner
Tupac Shakur's former business partner, Gobi Rahimi, revealed in an authorized biography that an anonymous call was made to Shakur's record label, Death Row, threatening to "finish him off" while he was in a coma following a drive-by shooting in 1996. In response to the threat, security guards were posted outside Shakur's hospital room, and his hip-hop group, the Outlawz, also provided round-the-clock protection. Shakur's murder remains unsolved, but an arrest was made earlier this year in connection to the case. The arrested individual, Duane "Keffe D" Davis, is believed to have orchestrated the plan and passed the murder weapon to the shooter. Davis had previously admitted to being involved in Shakur's murder and implicated Sean "Diddy" Combs, although Combs has denied any connection to the crime.
