Off-duty Texas trooper shoots neighbor in mistaken apartment break-in
An off-duty Texas Department of Public Safety trooper shot a man he believed was trying to break into his Houston apartment. The trooper gave commands for the suspect to go away before shooting him through the door. The suspect, who lives in the same building as the trooper, fled but was found bleeding by responding officers and is expected to survive.
